Modern Black Gold Rush

Just leaving Fort Mcmurray. September 2010. Early 1900's the gold rush of north BC and Yukon was attended by bad monkey business, donkeys, horses, booze n sex. The First road was ploughed into ft. St McMurray near the same time, and the black oily sand was used by natives to patch canoes. I wasnt there, but nostalgically wish it was so. But surely the cold cracks, needs to go hack trees down to stay warm, and the severe sousing of whisky would maybe have been for my younger days...more later...

Swimming in Sparkles

Wanna freak urself out? Go to cove, tressel side, dark nite (no moon) on mountain bike (barely see road cept lookin up), and swim. Phosphorescence in cove, and so warm she be. Put on goggles and start breast stroke along the tree-line; white angel dust shoots from yer forward jabbing hands, particles that fly into yer face like white hot snowflakes in a black-night blizzard as you fly like superthing. And from the goggles lightening streaks bolt across yer eyes with each stroke. Then try the crawl. In this stroke, from above elbows to finger tips a constant rush of that glowing angel dust pours over and back. For added freakness, do it with real lightening above, and rain lighting up Phosphorescence just underside of the water/air interface...a truly weird interface anyways (a 2 way wall to different worlds). Be careful your foot slapping the water behind dont scare ya inta thinking a shark is 1 meter behind yer backside. Anyways, get out now. Shake. U can do it alone, or..you know..whatever. Then as u bike back out that old railroad track, in the black, be careful of spring toed deer attack. DAM IT! One may just about trample you, twice, as it tries to figure out which way IT wants to go. Magine that! Your freaked out by a freaked out deer! And yer ridein a bike on a road which you can not see. I need a drink. O yea, make sure you so the above with your suit left on shore.

You facebookers would know Golden Bubbles is a collaboration with Mat Powatt...or is it Pat Mowatt??  One day I saw Slim standin near a covered Magaguadavic River bridge with a paddle, but no canoe.  His canoe was wrecked and he didn't know the ending for W & D's capsization.  Its about Wendel and Dicky's story of mother nature failing to take them to the promised land.  A good buzzon on the Mackadavey river.

The other is a collaboration with the birds in the treetops off the 5th floor balcony here...we had a long long yak..it was goood...i lerned a lot.

Yeah, BTW...China friends...you aint gonna see good English here.  I leave that in the classroom.  The name Magaguadavic comes from east Canada Algonquin FIrst Nation language, not english.
